If you are learning more about or in the process of making dance clothes, there is no better source for style and trends than current photographs. Since we are dancing contemporary dances in today's Powwow, it is important to stay in the loop and stay current in what we wear. The best source for these photos is actually going to these dances and taking pictures yourself. However, many larger attended dances make their photos public.
Many of the photos in these links come from the annual Gathering of Nations Powwow. You will notice trends from year to year, articles fading in and fading out, and you can actually track dancers in the process. My friends in California will tell you that most of the "style" comes from way up north, in Canada, and hits the states by the summer each year. When you look at these photos, you are always looking for trends, not oddities. These photos will be updated regularly, so keep checking out this page!
